About Morgan Strong (she/hers)
Specialties: Young adults and adults (ages 18+), Anxiety, relationship issues, and self-esteem
Summary: "Whether you are new to therapy or have previous experience, Morgan is grateful to walk along the side of you on your mental wellness journey. Throughout graduate school, Morgan focused her studies on mindfulness practices. During her research she came across a quote that has stayed with her for some time: “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf”- Jon Kabat-Zinn Morgan believes this is what the therapy process is all about. It is an opportunity to reflect, gain insight, and grow as an individual. She enjoys working with people who are ages 16 and up who want to understand how to manage their anxiety, who want to work on their self-esteem, who want to recover from the emotional abuse they experienced as a child, or who want to learn how to have stronger relationships. When supporting individuals in the healing process, Morgan has experience helping individuals learn how to set boundaries, develop communication skills, understand how to be kind to their inner child, and manage conflict. When working together, Morgan offers a collaborative empathetic approach. She uses strength-based techniques, so you feel empowered and ready to take charge of your mental wellness. Morgan incorporates deep breathing and grounding skills into therapy as well as teaches cognitive behavioral therapy techniques so you can learn how to grow out of old habits and alter self-defeating thoughts. When you work with Morgan she can help guide you where you want to be and help you develop a skillset to use outside of therapy for lasting change."
